The Ph.D. course is open to anyone having a degree in the sciences and to M.D.s who wish to embark upon a career in the field of experimental medicine. The aim of the course is to train researchers in Molecular Medicine and in Post-Genomics, focusing particularly on Human Genetics

Cell and Gene Therapy, Human Genetics and Genomics, Development Genetics, Functional and Differential Proteomics, Molecular basis of Hereditary diseases, Proteomics and Clinical proteomics, Neurosciences
- Supervision:
Three tutorial profiles are foreseen for each PhD student:
The Supervisor is the scientific head of the laboratory, who will supervise the work of the student during his/her PhD period.
The Internal Co-supervisor is chosen among the faculty members and will contribute in tutoring the student.
The External Co-supervisor is a foreign expert, who will provide advice at critical stages of the project and meet the student at least once during his/her PhD period.

Courses:
Courses are provisioned during the first three years and include advanced courses on emerging disciplines, such as structural biology, bioinformatics, genomics and proteomics, drug discovery and courses on complementary skills.
Seminars:
Students are exposed to a wide selection of seminars from international speakers that cover a large range of topics.
- Fellowship:
Tuition and salaries for students are fully covered for the entire PhD period. Refer to "financial matters" for more info.
