The workshop was meant to cover recent advances in melanoma research, from basic science to clinical applications. The workshop provided the frame of a focused panel of discussion covering all the topical aspects of transcriptional regulation, molecular pathways and novel therapeutic approaches in melanoma progression, through the study of single molecules, cell-host interactions and model organisms. The workshop included broad lectures and invited talks directed at graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and researchers. Invited lecturers presented questions, approaches and results from their ongoing research in the field.
