Education

SEMM is committed to foster the growth of young scientists, its educational programs provide PhD students with the skills they will need to face the emerging challenges in the biomedical field.

Together with the University of Milan (Università degli Studi di Milano) and the University of Naples (Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II), SEMM has created a PhD program in Systems Medicine that includes 4 interdisciplinary curricula and integrates basic research and clinical aspects.

Since 2004 SEMM has been running PhD programs: 172 are the Current students and 432 are SEMM Alumni.

Our school sites are research centers of excellence, providing PhD students with the possibility to grow in a stimulating and international scientific environment. Science covers virtually every aspect of modern Cell and Molecular Biology, from both the basic and applied research points of view, is highly multidisciplinary and is supported by know-how extending from functional genomics to developmental model systems.
