This Applied Biostatistics course provides an introduction to important topics in statistical concepts and reasoning. Each topic will be introduced with examples from published clinical research papers. This course also represents an introduction to basic epidemiological concepts covering study designs and sample size computation. easy-to-use software will be used such as SPSS software.

At the end of the course the learner will know the main concepts of statistics and the main SPSS commands useful for the design of a research protocol.
