The aim is to propose a basic training for students interested in learning cancer patients needs and concerns, in learning the specificity of the role of the psychologist in Oncology

  • Psychosocial assessment in cancer patients, relevance of the psychosocial assessment of mental disorders
  • Psychosocial distress and prevalence of mental disorders in cancer patients, (causes/stresses specific to cancer, nature of concerns, risk factors)
  • Questionnaires and screening procedures of psychosocial distress, mental disorders, coping/ personal and social resources, health related quality of life
  • Distress management in cancer patients / psychological- psychosocial interventions (NCCN distress Management Practice Guidelines)
